Signs of being infected with MacGuard
MacGuard is a family adware. That is, it is preceded by members of the family released earlier, and is likely to have successors cloned from it.

Main popup of the malware is titled Control Center, but navigating the menu line located immediately below the title will change the title to the menu item selected, e.g. Scan.
